A brief description of Gloucestershire Disability Forum
Independently funded since began in 1998, GDF takes a full and active part in the County Voluntary & Community Sector Assembly and The South West Equality Network which has many regional disability organizations within its membership.
GDF- Seeks and listens to the views of people with a disability and provides a platform for debate and discussion.
- Co-ordinates and undertakes consultation exercises,
- Encourage individual with a disability and disability groups to become involved
- Facilitate and services the quarterly meetings and produces a News Update to around 185 individual members & groups on a quarterly basis
- Raising the profile of the forum with external bodies.
