What do we do?
Gloucestershire Lifestyles Respite and Social Activity Support Service offer two different services.
The first is a non-specific requirement - group activities.
The second is specific requirements - bespoke one-to-one support.
Whichever service you choose the initial process is the same. We will sit down with you, and together, complete a personal support plan. This is where you tell us what you want, what you enjoy doing and what special requirements and support needs you have. This information will identify which service best meet your needs.
What are the different services and how much do they cost?
Non-Specific Requirement - group activities
This is a membership scheme where you and Gloucestershire Lifestyles agree to work together for a year.
If you would like to go out socially but dont mind joining a small group of, up to three, other people this might be the scheme for you.
We produce a monthly programme of activities, made up of things you have told us you would like to do, and that meet your needs.
Your membership entitles you to 52 support sessions per year to use as you wish, but no more than the number of weeks in a month e.g. February is a 4 week month so you have 4 session to use in that month.
The duration of a session will be to a maximum of four hours and the activities would be available during the day and evening Monday to Saturday.
We will provide transport to and from the activity and this is chargeable. The first and last half hour will be free if the transport has to divert to pickup multi passengers.
The yearly fee is £ 1500. This is payable monthly in advance and equates to £ 125 per month.
Additional hours can be purchased at £ 7 per hour.
We also have a transport charge of 40p per mile for sole transportation or in the case of multi transportation the total mileage will be divided between all occupants. Mileage will be calculated on AA Route Planner from your home to the event and return.
The only other cost you will have is for your entrance fees, tickets, meals, drinks etc.
Specific Requirements - Bespoke One-to-One Support
If you wish to have a more tailor-made service we can meet your needs with this scheme. You tell us what you want to do and when, and your assigned support worker will assist you on a one-to-one basis.
Whatever you feel you need to make your life more complete we can support you in achieving it, helping you to gain independence the way you feel best suits you.
If you are a carer and need specific care cover for an appointment, social activities, having your hair done, shopping etc we can help.
If you have disability and want to access recreational or social activity such as: going to the cinema, tenpin bowling, football, for a coffee or a pint, shopping, disco, church or visiting family or support to meet your vocational, educational or work related activities on an individual basis we can help during the day, evening and weekends.
We will provide transport to and from the activity.
This customised service costs £15 per hour for the support and transport is charged at 40p per mile.
