About Gloucestershire Lifestyles: Policies
Environmental Policy
At Gloucestershire Lifestyles we are keen to ensure that our activities
are not detrimental to our environment. Our environmental policy sets
out guidelines for our staff and members on such issues as recycling,
re-use, responsible travel and encouraging the exchange of unwanted items.
Volunteer Policy
Gloucestershire Lifestyles relies on the help of volunteers to carry
out its valuable work. Therefore, we are committed to ensuring that the
rights and expectations of these volunteers are met and that our members
are protected. Our volunteer policy sets out the principles of volunteering,
our recruitment procedures, support and supervision guidelines and our
code of conduct.
Confidentiality and Data Protection Policy
Gloucestershire Lifestyles respects the individual’s right to confidentiality
and informed consent for the sharing of personal information. We are
a Data Controller under the Data Protection Act 1998. We hold information
for the purposes specified in our notification No. Z7699440 made to
the Data Protection Commissioner.
All members, volunteers and funders are issued with full copies of
all our policies and can also view them at our offices by appointment.
External individuals wishing to obtain copies of our policies can do
so by sending a SAE and cheque for £10 to our head office. External
organisations should apply directly to head office with their request
and a charge will be made reflecting the costs of production associated
with these policies.
