PSD: Volunteering

The volunteers on the Living in the Community scheme are unique, special people who have offered to share their time and skills to have a positive effect on the life of a disabled person.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life and offer a variety of skills to share with our members.

We work very carefully to match up volunteers to members to ensure that they have interests in common and a real friendship can be established.

Our volunteers have found that these new friendships can be truly rewarding and often last a lifetime.

We offer a full support network for our volunteers including training. You also have the opportunity to meet a wide circle of people at our group events which range from parties to sailing trips!
